The Victoria's Secret Global Fund for Women's Cancers 2023 Rising Innovator Awards, In Partnership with Pelotonia & AACR – In March 2023, Victoria's Secret presented five female midcareer scientists conducting innovative research in breast and gynecologic cancers with this award. Each awardee will receive $700,000 over a period of 3 years to support their research. Awardees will also participate in mentorship, collaboration, and public education campaigns around women’s cancers and health.
The Victoria’s Secret Global Fund for Women’s Cancers Career Development Award, in partnership with Pelotonia & AACR – In October 2022, Victoria's Secret presented five female cancer researchers who are in the early stages of their career with this award. The aim of this award is to foster innovation in the understanding, prevention, interception, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of breast and gynecologic cancers with the goal of eliminating cancer health disparities and improving patient outcomes. The research proposed for funding may be in basic, translational, clinical, or population sciences. The grant provides $206,000 over two years for expenses related to the research project.
During the summer of 2022, Victoria’s Secret supported the American Cancer Society (ACS) to launch the
The Summer Health Care Experience (SHE) Program at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center. This program seeks to increase the participation of women in biomedical fields, especially cancer research and medicine, and provided support for 20 young women to participate in a 2-week immersive field experience.
The Victoria’s Secret Global Fund for Women’s Cancers 2022 Meritorious Awards, In Partnership with Pelotonia & AACR – In March 2022, Victoria’s Secret presented five female cancer researchers with scientific achievement awards to recognize and further their outstanding contributions to the field of women’s cancers. Each awardee will receive a $100,000 honorarium and will be invited to serve as an active participant and mentor in the broader women’s cancers grant program, which will include multi-year research grants for both established and early-stage investigators. The awards were presented at the AACR Annual Meeting 2022 in New Orleans.
