To the legendary Pelotonia community,

The last three weeks since launching registration for our 12th Ride have been nothing short of remarkable. We have always known that this movement was legendary and the number of Riders, Virtual Riders, and Volunteers that have already signed up proves that in spades. 

Your efforts continue to inspire us and we are beyond grateful. Thank you.

Like you, we have been closely following the coverage of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).  Our partners at The Ohio State University issued a statement on Monday evening, March 9th suspending face to face classes until March 30th among several other precautions related to their operations.  Following OSU’s leadership, and in an attempt to assist with social distancing, Pelotonia will be making several short-term changes to our daily business operations as an entirely preventative measure.

Effective immediately, the Pelotonia office will temporarily transition to a remote workforce, with all team members working remotely through Friday, March 27th.  Our current plan is to reopen the Pelotonia HQ on Monday, March 30th.  

Additionally, we will be postponing Pelotonia planned in-person events until at least March 30th. We will be utilizing all available technology to continue to drive engagement and build community as we strive for a truly legendary, and record-breaking, year of impact.

Pelotonia exists to engage, inspire, and challenge a community committed to change the world by accelerating innovative cancer research.

We feel it is in the best interest of our community to decrease the number of social gatherings and interactions given the guidance from the Ohio State University Medical Center and the Centers for Disease Control and knowing full well that our vibrant community includes so many cancer patients and survivors, as well as their families and friends.

We must protect those who are at the highest risk during this time.
