2020 Resolutions: Pelotonia Edition

By The Pelotonia Team|January 09, 2020

New year, new goals! Pelotonia staff members are excited to kick off 2020 with some personal Pelotonia goals they want to accomplish for this year. Read on to learn the resolutions from some of the staff members behind the #GreatestTeamEver:
“Each year my husband and I host a Pelotonia fundraiser during the Kentucky Derby. This year, the Derby falls on our five year anniversary, so our goal is to raise $5,555 for cancer research at this event. If anyone wants to come, they’re more than welcome. The more the merrier.” – Emily Smith, Marketing & Communications Manager
“This year, I want to get to know more of the Pelotonia community members and their stories by attending various events throughout the year (my goal is two events per month).” – Gabby Blauert, Marketing & Communications Coordinator
“My 2020 resolution is to get even more of our community moving with PULLL – whether that’s training for The Ride, walking the dog, or sweatin’ in hip hop dance class. It’s good for our bodies, it’s good for our planet – and, of course, you can even raise funds for cancer research. ” – Simone Attles, Marketing Manager, PULLL
“Help my husband train for his first Pelotonia Ride! And raise at least $2500 together!” – Steph Zimmerman, Director of Stewardship and Special Assistant to the CEO
“My goal for Pelotonia 2020 is to do more training rides with more Pelotons and groups to get to know more members of our community while riding.” – Doug Ulman, President & CEO
“My daughter, Mya, is due on 2.20.2020 right in time for the launch of Pelotonia 2020 registration. With that in mind, this year I’m going to have both her and my two year old daughter, Macie, register as Virtual Riders to get them started young. You can never start too early with the next generations of philanthropists!” – Janelle Goldbach, Gifts Processing Manager
“Engage with members of the Pelotonia community, hear their stories about Pelotonia’s impact, and experience my first ever Ride Weekend as a member of the team. ” – Molly Lyons, Matching Gifts Manager
“My Pelotonia resolution is to create more engaging and compelling merchandise for the Pelotonia Shop! I know we can tell such an impactful story through merchandise that really resonates with our community and beyond!” – Ashley Ellashek, Merchandise Manager⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“My 2020 Pelotonia resolution is to provide Volunteers more opportunities to support the community throughout the year, just as they support Riders every August.” – Carolyn Appelhans, Community Engagement Coordinator
“My goal is to amp up my breakfast taco fundraiser to multiple locations and days🌮” – Jill Londino, Director – Operations & Strategic Projects
“To make 2020 our most impactful, and fun, year yet!  Both for the community and our staff.” – Joe Apgar, COO
“This year, I want to make more connections and hear more peoples’ stories, especially thinking about long-time Volunteers, vendors, and leads that I interact with frequently.” Lauren Graham, Events and Volunteer Manager
