The Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology
The next frontier in cancer research
The Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology was established in 2019 with an initial pledge of $102,265,000 from the Pelotonia community.
Led by inaugural Director Dr. Zihai Li, this research initiative has focused on harnessing the body’s immune system to fight cancer at all levels. Since 2019, the PIIO has achieved the following milestones:
- • Launched 230+ human clinical trials
- • Obtained $39 million in annual funding from new grants
- • Published more than 1,200 peer-reviewed articles
- • Published more than 500 peer-reviewed articles
