Spectators at Gravel Day

Check out the Spectator Handbook for important information for cheering on your Pelotonia participant!
Review the Gravel Day Event Handbook for additional information.

Driving Directions

Spectators should make every effort to travel along alternative roads to keep the route as clear of cars as possible.

Friday, October 3: Community Gathering

All guests who are attending the Friday Night Community Gathering, including all camping guests, should enter Snow Fork at the main property entrance (5685 Happy Hollow Road, Nelsonville, OH 45764). At the fork in the road once inside the venue, camping guests should continue to the left for campsite Check-In, and all other guests should continue to the right and follow signage and direction of parking staff for event parking.

Spectator Do's and Don'ts

Do's

  • DO celebrate participants at the start & finish line at Snow Fork Event Center.
  • DO review routes in advance to avoid driving on or over them. Refer to route maps HERE to plan your route!
  • DO download the Pelotonia Tracker app to follow your participant’s progress.
  • DO be patient and always follow the direction of parking staff.

Don'ts

  • DON’T try to access rest stops. In the interest of safety these are for participants, Volunteers, and safety staff only. Participants are only encouraged to pull to the side of the road if they need medical or mechanical assistance.
  • DON’T try to meet your participant along the route at any time – this can be a safety issue for everyone. Only registered participants will be permitted onto the routes and trail.

Finish Venue

We invite you to join us to cheer on Riders, Runners, and Hikers crossing the finish lines at Snow Fork Event Center! Feel free to bring your own signage, cowbells, and spirit along with you. Volunteers and Pelotonia Staff will be on site to answer any questions you may have about the finish celebration.

Pelotonia Tracker App

All spectators can download the “Pelotonia Tracker App” from the Apple Store or Google Play Store on your mobile device. This app allows family and friends to view participant progress throughout Gravel Day, including receiving push notifications when they arrive at rest stops and are approaching their finish line.
To follow a participant, spectators should download the app to their mobile device, search for the participant they wish to track, then click on their name in the search results. This will add that participant to the main screen of a spectator’s app to view their progress and give the option to subscribe to push notifications for that participant.

Accessibility at Pelotonia

GoLearn more
Though Snow Fork Event Center is an outdoor venue without stairs, spectators should know that the terrain is not even and could be challenging for those with mobility restrictions and aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, or canes. Accessible, flat-floor entry portable toilets will be available for the use of any guests for the duration of the event.
