By The Pelotonia Team|August 13, 2019

ONE GOAL podcast will raise awareness and celebrate the stories of those affected by cancer
COLUMBUS, OH (August 13, 2019) Pelotonia, a non-profit organization that brings people together to accelerate funding for cancer research, is announcing the launch of their new podcast ONE GOAL. The podcast will be hosted by Pelotonia Ride Community Manager Jill Londino and will share stories of Ride participants and supporters who have been touched by cancer and positively influenced the future of life-saving cancer research.
“We’re honored to share the stories of Pelotonia riders, virtual riders, volunteers and donors alike in a motivated mindset through the launch of our ONE GOAL podcast,” said Doug Ulman, President and CEO of Pelotonia. “The podcast is hosted by our phenomenal ride community manager Jill Londino who hears moving stories firsthand from the Pelotonia community every day and now gets the chance to share these with the world. We hope people will be inspired to join us in the quest to end cancer through the personal experiences of those affected by the disease.”
Pelotonia launched the podcast with a series of four episodes documenting four very different journeys toward the finish line. New episodes will be released every two weeks.
  • Victory Is In Sight.

In the fall of 2015, Brian Baker was playing a game of basketball that may have quite literally saved his life. A hard foul he took during the game set off a chain of events that drastically altered the next four years.
  • Never Enough I Love Yous.

Sarah Yetzer changed from a Pelotonia volunteer to rider because of one very important list. Sarah lost her husband in 2011. Before he passed, he gave her a list of three things to do: get a masters degree, get healthy, and find the next love of her life.
  • A Better Weapon.

Shannon Rece heard about Pelotonia early on. She has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer research, all of which has been made possible by the incredible team of supporters she has, which happens to include a very special Cincinnati Bengal. However, this passion to end cancer didn’t start immediately. It started when Shannon received some of the worst possible news.
  • Change of Plans.

Joe Apgar serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Pelotonia. But in 2008 as a college student at Penn State, his mind shifted from class to cancer, and in less than twelve hours he went from his dorm room to the surgery room. This whirlwind of events was just the start of his inspiring journey.
