2011 PELOTONIA COURSE ADVISORY

COLUMBUS – The 2011 edition of Pelotonia, a grass roots bike tour based in Columbus, Ohio, will take place August 20-21. Pelotonia will include 5000+ cyclists who will cover as many as 180 miles between Columbus and Athens. Pelotonia offers three distinct ride experiences to encompass a wide range of riding abilities. Cyclists may choose between a one day 23-mile ride, 43-mile ride, 100-mile ride, or a two day 180-mile ride. 100% of all funds raised by cyclists will go directly to benefit cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center- James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

PLEASE EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS AND USE EXTREME CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING.

The 2011 Pelotonia course will cover various city/county/state roads from Columbus to Athens. If you have any questions or concerns during event weekend please call the Pelotonia ride hotline at 1-855-899-RIDE.

Saturday, August 20th:

7:00AM – Riders Depart Chemical Abstracts in Columbus
7:30AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #1 at Hamilton Township High School
8:00AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #2 at Canal Winchester Middle School
9:00AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #3 at Amanda Clear Creek High School
9:30AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #4 at Clear Creek and Starner Road
10:30AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #5 at ODOT in Logan
11:30AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #6 at Hocking College
6:00PM – Last Riders Finishing at Ohio University in Athens.

Sunday, August 21st:

7:00AM – Riders Depart Ohio University in Athens
7:30AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #1 at Hocking College
8:30AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #2 at Lake Logan Dam
9:00AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #3 at Cantwell Cliffs Park Rest Stop
10:00AM* – 1st Riders reach Rest Stop #4 at Amanda Clear Creek High School
5:00PM – Last Riders Finishing at Slate Run Metro Park.
