The Buckeye Blanket Bash 2012
- May 5, 2012
1:30 am – 1:30 am
The Buckeye Blanket Bash is an annual service project which will directly benefit the patients of The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. Participants and volunteers will gather to make and personalize blankets and cards and later have the opportunity to deliver these items to the patients at their bedside.
Aside from the blankets pragmatic purpose in helping patients stay warm, perhaps the blankets greatest importance will be as a treasured memento. Our hope is that these blankets will provide the patients with comfort and strength during moments of hardship and will ultimately be an item that they can cherish for the rest of their lives.
