6:00 pm ready to ride.

Please arrive early.

teamCOPC riders will lead a discussion of road and group riding topics, including safety and cycling techniques, followed by a slow, fairly short ride on lightly traveled roads. Expected average pace will be from 8-12 mph, depending on attendance. All are welcome, including seasoned riders to help set and demonstrate a good example.
No riders will be left behind.
Helmets are required.
As this is not a maintenance workshop, riders should arrive with properly maintained bicycle ready for the ride.
Please park cars away from the buildings to be courteous to patrons of Market Square while we ride.
teamCOPC is centered around Pelotonia, but all are welcome on our training rides. If you are riding in Pelotonia and don’t have a Peloton to join, we are happy to have you join teamCOPC.
We are committed to the safe group riding concept, and will stay together, or form several smaller groups, never dropping any riders. We expect all cyclists on our rides to watch out for each other. There will usually be a leader for each ride, but it may not be possible to “sweep” the route every week. With all of this in mind, please recognize your own abilities and consider the length and speed of the rides (if posted).
Finally, please park cars away from the buildings to be courteous to patrons of Market Square while we ride.
Helmets are always required, and we obey the rules of the road.
teamCOPC hosts rides every week, open to all.
Sunday, Introductory group rides each Wednesday, and Hill Training each Thursday. Wednesday – 6 pm ready to ride. We’ll begin with a safety and group ride technique discussion. Heit Center, New Albany
Thursday Night Hills- 6 pm rolling. Jersey Baptist Church north lot. A challenging route with significant climbing in the midsection of the route. 28 or 35 miles. Speeds vary by attendance. No drop.
Sunday Multi-group ride. Several routes varying weekly. Split up by speed groups and then choose a route. Routes posted weekly. Heit Center, New Albany. No drop.
